A Successful Fundraising Effort
A key highlight of the event was the live auction, expertly conducted by our very own Stuart Hext, Senior Partner of Luscombe Maye. Stuart auctioned off an impressive David Yarrow photograph of Thurlestone Links, a special tour of the Salcombe Lifeboat and a compass rose Cork Board, handmade and donated by AWA Fine Furniture. The auction made a strong contribution to the day’s success and formed part of the wider fundraising efforts supporting the new lifeboat.
In addition there was Silent Auction of 8 individual items, all donated by kind supporters, including Salcombe Sailing Adventures, Salcombe Shooting School, Hancocks Jewellers, Thurlestone Hotel, Mullion Cove Hotel and WNU (With Nothing Underneath).

Continuing a Strong Local Partnership
Theo Spink of Luscombe Maye’s Salcombe office played an active role on the organising committee, reinforcing the firm’s strong and ongoing relationship with Salcombe RNLI, together with her colleague Amanda Shock. This partnership reflects Luscombe Maye’s commitment to supporting the communities it serves, particularly organisations like the RNLI that rely on public generosity to continue their vital work.
Luscombe Maye is also looking forward to supporting the Salcombe RNLI further during Crabfest on Sunday 3rd May where we have donated our offices to the charity to highlight their work on Water Safety and Lifejacket Checks.
