Interests : Maria loves the outdoors and in her free time she can usually be found up on the moors going for a walk or out at sea on her paddleboard. She will also spend some of her free time playing both golf and football and likes to find time to enjoy a trip up the mountains to go skiing.

Interests: In her spare time, Hannah is an active member of Kingsbridge Young Farmers and had been the Chairman of the club. She also enjoys playing netball and helping on the family farm, especially when it’s lambing season!

Current Position: Senior Director (Farms, Land and Smallholdings and Professional Valuations)

Stuart has been part of the management team of Luscombe Maye since 1997 and became Senior Partner in 2009. Now, as Senior Partner, his role is to ensure the smooth running of the firm across all the eight offices but also to look to the future development and progression of the business. Stuart is qualified as a Rural Practice Chartered Surveyor, Registered Valuer and is a Fellow of the Association of Agricultural Valuers.

Experience: Prior to joining Luscombe Maye, Stuart worked at DEFRA (formerly known as MAFF) and Cluttons. Stuart joined Luscombe Maye in 1995 having also trained with them under the principal in 1993 to gain his professional qualifications.

Interests: Stuart am very interested in sport and would rather play it than watch it. Work and family commitments allow me time to run, cycle, swim and occasionally play a game of squash. Holidays with some kind of activity built in are of particular interest such as skiing or watersports. I am also very interested in travelling generally to experience different cultures, foods and ways of life. Our last holiday was to France with our children where we spent a great deal of time cycling and enjoying French bread, cheese and wine.”

Tom graduated from the Royal Agricultural University with a 2:1 BSc (Hons) degree in Rural Land Management and joined Luscombe Maye in September 2018. Since then, Tom has passed his RICS Assessment of Professional Competence to become a fully qualified member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and is now a Registered Valuer. Tom has since followed this up by passing his Central Association of Agricultural Valuers examinations, achieving the 6th highest national mark in the process. Tom is involved in a wide range of professional work including land and farm sales, basic payment scheme applications, landlord and tenant matters, professional valuations, and compensation claims.

Experience : Tom originates from an agricultural background with his father and grandfather working on the 250-acre family run farm situated near Exeter. Having actively worked on the sheep and beef farm enterprise, Tom’s knowledge of this sector is very suitable for the role of a Rural Chartered Surveyor & Registered Valuer.

Interests : Tom has a great interest in several sports, most notably: football, rugby and formula 1. He enjoys spending time with his family and helping out on the family farm. Moreover, Tom is an active member of Whimple and Broadclyst Young Farmers Club and has just stepped down from being chairman of East Devon Young Farmers.

Experience: Harriet grew up in the South Hams, and then moved away to study Human Geography at Cardiff University, graduating in 2019. After spending a ski season in Val ‘Isère, she moved back home and re-established her roots of farming and the countryside, and has now joined the South Brent office, assisting the rural professionals.

Interests: Harriet enjoys getting outside and keeping active. She plays Netball in the local Plymouth League and more recently rows for the Yealm Gig Club and has started taking part in regattas. When not playing sports, she enjoys spending time with friends in the South Hams, as it is such a beautiful place to live.

Experience : Having worked in the South Brent office as both Administrator and Sales Negotiator since July 2007, Andrea has recently taken on the role as Administrator for the Rural Professional Department in Kingsbridge.

Andrea has worked in Estate Agency for the past 20 years primarily as a secretary/administrator both in Canada for a large national ‘Real Estate’ company in their commercial department and in the South Hams for two small independent Estate Agents before joining Luscombe Maye in 2006 in their Kingsbridge office as secretary to Stuart Hext.

Interests : Living in Ivybridge, I enjoy being within easy reach of the Moors which I frequently visit on the weekends with my family and Westie, where we enjoy some superb walks and magnificent far reaching views. We are also lucky to be close to some fabulous beaches, our personal favourite being the beach at Bantham.

When I have the time, I also enjoy running, reading and watching a good epic movie.”

Experience: Andy Joined the Luscombe Maye Lettings Team in August 2017. Having previously worked in the Student Lettings market, Andy is accustomed to working in a fast-paced, demanding and varied environment.

Key Achievements: Born in Cape Town, moving homes has become a part of life for Andy. First emigrating to Henley-On-Thames from South Africa, then up to the Isle of Man, down to Portugal and finally settling in Cornwall where he went to University. Graduating in 2013, Andy quickly became involved in the Student Lettings Market and within 2 years became the Manager of a small student lettings company in the South West. The recent jump over the bridge to Devon has allowed Andy to continue progressing his career in Lettings and can now safely call South Hams ‘Home’.

Interests: A keen RIB enthusiast and ‘water-baby’ at heart, you’ll often find Andy out on the water exploring the Devon and Cornish Coast and is now looking to expand this hobby into Sailing & Scuba Diving. Andy also has two long-haired miniature Dachshunds called Oscar & Heidi, who enjoy walks on Dartmoor but more importantly being centre of attention wherever they go.
