Current Position : Director. Head of Agriculture and Rural Planning Department

Amanda has been the Partner in charge of the Totnes office since becoming a Partner with Luscombe Maye in 2006. She heads up the Agriculture and Rural Planning Department based in Totnes and is responsible for a team of rural professionals, specialising in agricultural and rural planning advice and applications, Basic Payment Scheme, grants for subsidies and general agricultural/land management advice.

After joining Luscombe Maye in June 1995 as a professional assistant to one of the Partners, she moved up the ranks after gaining her professional qualifications, becoming an Associate Partner before becoming a full Partner.

Qualifications :

BSc (Hons), FAAV, MBIAC

Experience:

Amanda has an Honours Degree in Agriculture with Countryside Management from Seale Hayne Agricultural College, is a Fellow of the Association of Agricultural Valuers, is on the CAAV Council and is also a Member of the British Institute of Agricultural Consultants.

Amanda is married to a farmer and is also involved in a successful holiday letting business and can therefore put a good deal of experience behind her professional advice.

Interests:

Amanda really loves family life at home on the farm with her husband and children; when not being a wife/mother or in the office, she loves nothing more than spending hours in the kitchen producing lunch/supper for lots of people. She has recently learnt to weld and has completed a life-size sculpture of a horse in scrap metal which is now “at grass” at her home.

Amanda has a long–standing passion for horse racing particularly steeple-chasing and Point to Points and spends any spare time at the races.
