Deciding on an annual charity for the whole of Luscombe Maye to support is a difficult task. There are so many worthy causes both local, national and international that we might follow.
So instead, we asked each of our seven offices to choose a local charity close to their hearts. A charity which the people in their community would also wish to support. In this way we have chosen 7 charities.
But not only that, as a firm we are celebrating our 150th year in business. Since 1873 Luscombe Maye has been working across the South Hams and over the years has supported many, many local charities, events and shows.
And hence, we came up with the idea of our £150 prize raffle where each office will offer a £150 meal at a local restaurant, a local business that shares our enthusiasm for the charity. With each raffle ticket costing £1, together we hope at each office to raise at least £1,000 pounds for the charity by selling 1,000 raffle tickets throughout 2023. These tickets can be purchased either at the restaurant, in the office concerned and in some cases through the charity itself, with the lucky winner being drawn in December 2023.

- Modbury has chosen to support St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth, in association with Journey’s End Inn.
- Kingsbridge has chosen to support the Devon Environment Foundation in association with Millbrook Inn.
- Salcombe has chosen to support RNLI lifeboats in association with the Crab Shed.
- Totnes has chosen to support LifeWorks in association with The Cott Inn.
- Newton Ferrers has chosen to support are RNLI Lifeboats in association with The Ship Inn.
- Yealmpton and has chosen to support Dementia Friendly Parishes Around The Yealm in association with The Rose & Crown.
When you buy your £1 raffle tickets 100% of your £1 donation will go to charity and Luscombe Maye will provide the £150 prize that the restaurant will serve to the lucky winner and we will do this seven times over.
