Qualifications: Alex has gained a BTEC National Higher Diploma in hotel operations and management. Fellow of the National Association of Estate Agents.

Experience: Alex has been part of the residential sales team since 2010 but catering was the career Alex started in, working locally in pubs and restaurants to hotels in London such as The Savoy and Hilton. This gave Alex good people skills and experience working for the general public. Alex then moved to Spain, France and Italy selling overseas properties off-plan and resale.

Interests: Sailing, travelling abroad and foreign languages. He is actively involved with The Yealm Yacht Club and fundraising for the local RNLI district.

Experience: I have been lucky enough to spend the last 20 years living and working around South Devon. I began my career as an Estate Agent selling waterfront properties before specialising in New Developments within Plymouth. I took a break from Estate Agency to raise my 2 children and established a successful book-keeping business, more recently working as an accounts manager for a property management company. I am very excited to return to the industry I love on the glorious Yealm Estuary and look forward to using my knowledge to help our buyers and sellers achieve the best outcomes.

Interests: When I’m not at work I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, cooking family meals and watching the children in their various activities. We are keen walkers and love to explore the moors and coastal paths, making the most of our beautiful countryside with our dog, Ozzy.

Experience: Theo has worked as an estate agent in the area since 2013, coming from London/South East where she had worked for two major international estate agents. Having holidayed in Salcombe as a child and then brought her own children here every year to the family holiday home, she made the permanent move to join her family and enjoy the fantastic lifestyle. Living in the town she is able to walk to work and is very much part of the local community.

Interests: I am passionate about being on the water and can be found taking part in the Salcombe Yacht Club Rallies around the Devon and Cornwall coastline during the summer and also being a Committee Member means I am very involved in the club itself, organising social events, together with sailing and racing.

Current Position: Consultant

Experience: Jason joined the Luscombe Maye management team in 2014 at our busy Yealmpton branch and successfully led his team for many years.  He is a seasoned local agent with nearly 40 years of experience in the industry.  Previously, Jason worked as a Main Board Director and Regional Director for a large chain of Estate Agents.  Additionally, he served as the Chairman of the Plymouth Area Surveyors’ and Estate Agents’ Associator.

Interests: Jason was born and lives in the South Hams with his family and has long been a dedicated cyclist, participating in numerous cycling challenges, including cycling from Canada to Mexico in aid of local children’s cancer and dementia charities.  He has recently taken a step back from agency to spend more time with his family and pursue his interests, but maintains a consultancy role with Luscombe Maye, offering his keen insights and extensive experience in many areas of the business.

Current Position: Senior Sales Negotiator

Experience: Jane has recently joined the team at Luscombe Maye, having worked for them previously in the early 90’s in their Kingsbridge and Ivybridge offices. For the past 23 years Jane has worked for South Hams Newspapers but decided that a part-time role is now more suitable, allowing her to spend time pursuing her hobbies of paddle boarding, cycling and gardening, and allowing more time for family. Being back with Luscombe Maye has given Jane an exciting new challenge, she loves working with people and looks forward to making new friends in Newton and Noss.

Experience: Andy joined the Luscombe Maye Lettings Team in August 2017, bringing with him a wealth of experience from the fast-paced, ever-evolving Student Lettings market. Known for his adaptability and passion for delivering exceptional service, Andy has thrived in dynamic and challenging environments, and has driven the Lettings department to be a market-leader in the field which they operate in.

Key Achievements: Born in Cape Town, Andy’s life has been shaped by frequent moves, giving him a unique perspective on the lettings process & life in general. After emigrating to Henley-On-Thames, relocating to the Isle of Man, and then to Portugal, he finally settled in Cornwall to attend university. Graduating in 2013 with a second-class honours in Editorial Photography, Andy dove into the Student Lettings market and within just two years, he had risen to the role of Business Manager at a lettings company in the South West managing upwards of 400 units across Devon & Cornwall. His move to Devon in 2015 marked a new chapter in his career, where he continues to build on his successes and proudly calls South Hams “home”. Under Andy’s leadership, he has played an integral role in streamlining operations and growing the lettings portfolio, cementing his reputation as a highly driven and successful individual.

Interests: Outside of work, Andy has a deep passion for adventure, with the sea being like a second home to him. His love for the water is firmly rooted in powerboating, but he’s eager to broaden his horizons by venturing into sailing and scuba diving. These activities fuel his sense of exploration and connection to the ocean, further enhancing his lifelong passion for all things maritime. Andy is joined on his adventures by his Wife and Son, plus 2 long-haired Dachshunds called Oscar & Heidi.

Experience: Alex joined the lettings team in January 2024, bringing with him a real passion for the industry having worked in residential lettings for the last 12 years. Prior to that, Alex started off his estate agency career with a couple of years in residential sales.

Interests: Outside of work, Alex enjoys his spare time exploring new places with his partner and young daughter, as well as following his football team, Plymouth Argyle at home and away as much as possible.

Current Position: Portfolio Property Manager

Experience: With over 13 years of experience in residential lettings, Rebecca brings a wealth of knowledge and professionalism to the Luscombe Maye team. She has a strong background in property management, compliance, and customer service, and is passionate about delivering a high standard of care to both landlords and tenants.

Rebecca has worked extensively across Plymouth and the South Hams, managing a wide range of residential portfolios. She is highly experienced in all aspects of tenancy management and, as a Member of the Association of Residential Letting Agents (MARLA), stays up to date with the latest legislation to ensure best practice at all times. Her key strengths include clear communication, effective problem-solving, and building trusted relationships with clients and contractors.

Interests: Outside of work, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her young family, catching up with friends, and exploring the Devon coastline. She also loves going on holidays, whether it’s a sunny getaway or a countryside break and can often be found out walking or trying to coax her reluctant whippet off the sofa.

Experience: Jenny joined the lettings team in November 2023, bringing 10 years’ property management experience gained in a varied role managing privately owned apartment blocks, in and around Plymouth.

Prior to that, Jenny enjoyed a 30 year career in banking, first in branch and Head Office roles in London and the South East before relocating to Devon in 2005 to a Commercial Sales Manager role. Through interactions with business owners across Devon and Cornwall, Jenny gained a crash course in the unique challenges and opportunities presented by this beautiful region.

Interests: When not working, Jenny enjoys country and coastal walks, spending time with her two grown up daughters and baby grandson, gardening and DIY at home and attending as many live music concerts as possible.
